Mary Ellen Ditchey is a Trumbull County native and Magistrate running for Common Pleas Court Judge.

Her legal career spans more than a decade and includes diverse hands-on criminal courtroom experience. She began her career as an assistant prosecuting attorney, where she prosecuted violent felony offenses. From there, she went on to serve in the Child Abuse Bureau, working alongside law enforcement and social services to protect vulnerable children.

After a short time in private practice, she returned to the county and began her service as a Magistrate in the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, General Division, where she presides over civil and criminal matters, including bench trials, protection orders, and arraignments.

Mary Ellen Ditchey currently serves as Vice President for the Trumbull County Bar Association and is a member of the Ohio Association of Magistrates.
